Ronaldinho scores with vintage free kick against Botafogo

Not to be outdone by his younger, similarly named friend in Miami, Ronaldinho showed he can still execute perfectly placed and unnervingly fast free kicks in Atletico-MG’s match against Botafogo. Down 1-0 in the 28th minute, Ronaldinho took the brunt of heavy challenge well outside the box. But as he’s done many, many times before, he got up and left the opposing goalkeeper helpless against a free kick that just brushed the underside of the crossbar on its way into the top corner of the net.

Botafogo went on to take the lead a second time in the 58th minute, but Atletico-MG equalized again in stoppage time.
