Scottish Premier League midfielder Andy Halliday said he wouldn’t be surprised if Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard joins Leicester City in the summer transfer window.
City has been linked with an interest in the Frenchman for the last couple of transfer windows as a possible reunion with Brendan Rodgers is touted.
Edouard has caught the eye since arriving in Scotland from Paris Saint-Germain in 2018 and has scored a total of 80 goals in 157 games for Celtic.
The 23-year-old has scored an impressive 15 goals in 21 SPL games so far this season, including eight goals in his last six league games.

He scored both of Celtic’s goals in the weekend’s 2-1 win over St. Johnstone.
Former Rangers and now Hearts midfielder Halliday speaks on Open Goal’s Youtube channel that he expects Edouard to move on in the summer, citing King Power Stadium as a possible target.
“I think he could go anywhere and then go to an English top six club. Similar to Dembele – who moved to Lyon and is now with Atletico, ”he said.
“He’s a big reason why Celtic has dominated in recent years.
“He’s one of the top three players in the league. It’s surprising that he’s the league’s top scorer, but he’s obviously a top player. I wouldn’t be surprised if Leicester comes in for him. Jamie Vardy is 34 and could be his replacement. “
Should Leicester choose the striker this summer, they will likely face competition from Premier League rivals. Arsenal, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are just three of the clubs that are also attributed an interest in Edouard.
