Collingwood v Brisbane, Marvel Stadium, 7:40 p.m. (AEDT)

Team messages: The pies have to do without sniper Jamie Elliott, who sustained a leg injury while defeating the Blues. It could open the door for Chris Mayne to move back to the side. For the Lions, Oscar McInerney is an unlikely starter after the ankle injury he sustained against the Cats. Jarrod Berry is likely to return after missing last week’s loss.

ESPN tip: Lions by 4 points.

TAB odds: Lions $ 2, magpies $ 1.80

Team news: Ben Cunnington’s return is a huge boost for the Roos after being on the sidelines with a concussion for two weeks. Trent Dumont could also play his first game of the season. For the dogs, Easton Wood and Jason Johannisen are possible inclusions in the team that defeated the west coast in round 2.

ESPN tip: Bulldogs by 49 points.

TAB odds: Kangaroos $ 7.50, Bulldogs $ 1.08

Adelaide v Gold Coast, Adelaide Oval, 7:50 p.m. (AEST)

Team messages: Jake Kelly could return to the Crows with a concussion after his week off, as could his defense colleague Luke Brown. The Suns will have to make at least two changes to the side that defeated North Melbourne, with Connor Budarick and Sam Day both sustaining injuries. Jarrod Harbrow will likely return.

ESPN tip: Sun by 10 points.

TAB odds: Crows $ 2.15, Suns $ 1.68

Richmond v Sydney, MCG, 1:45 p.m. (AEST)

Team messages: Nick Vlastuin and Bachar Houli will both be available for selection so it will be interesting to see who is excluded from the Tigers team. Sydney will almost certainly rest Lance Franklin after the key striker made his long-awaited AFL return last week. James Rowbottom vies to be fit and get back to the side.

ESPN tip: Tiger by 19 points.

TAB odds: Tigers $ 1.30, swans $ 3.40

Essendon v St. Kilda, Marvel Stadium, 4:35 p.m. (AEST)

Team messages: It’s just got worse for the bombers, and Devon Smith, Sam Draper and Jye Caldwell are expected to be out for up to eight weeks. Skipper Dyson Heppell isn’t sure whether he’ll be returning to the Essendon side for this game either. The Saints will do without Jimmy Webster, who sustained a jaw injury against the Demons, but Brad Crouch could appear as the Saint in his first game after being banned from two games. Paddy Ryder could be a welcome addition.

ESPN tip: Holy by 28 points.

TAB odds: Bomber $ 3.30, Holy $ 1.32

West Coast v Port Adelaide, Optus Stadium, 8:10 p.m. (AEST)

Team messages: Eagles skipper Luke Shuey may be set for a return for this blockbuster game as he recovered from a hamstring injury on the track. Port Adelaide could remember the young star Connor Rozee.

ESPN tip: Achieve 3 points.

TAB odds: Eagles $ 1.92, Power $ 1.85

Team messages: A major blow to the Dockers, skippered by Nat Fyfe, was ruled out after a concussion in defeating GWS last week, but Michael Walters was able to return to the team.

ESPN tip: Blues by 14 points.

TAB odds: Blues $ 1.42, Dockers $ 2.80

GWS v Melbourne, Manuka Oval, 6:10 p.m. (AEST)

Team messages: Sam Reid will be out after a two-game suspension while young guns Tom Green and Jake Riccardi both push for Giants to be selected. Jake Melksham looked fine in the VFL last week and could line up for an AFL return.

ESPN tip: Demons by 18 points.

TAB odds: Giants $ 2.25, Demons $ 1.62

Monday April 5th

Geelong versus Hawthorn, MCG, 3:20 p.m. (AEST)

Team messages: Patrick Dangerfield remains on the sidelines, but fellow campaigners Mitch Duncan and Sam Menegola could be back in the hoop for the annual Easter Monday clash. Gary Rohan’s suspension could also open the door to Josh Jenkins, who scored five goals in the VFL last weekend. Will Day’s injury opens a place on Hawthorn’s team.

ESPN tip: Cats by 25 points.

TAB odds: Cats $ 1.28, Hawks $ 3.60
