Barnsley has completed signing Josh Benson from Burnley, with the midfielder signing a four-year deal with Oakwell.

?️? We are excited to welcome Josh Benson to Oakwell on a four-year contract!

The 21-year-old was highly rated at Turf Moor after joining the Clarets from Arsenal as a teenager, and made six Premier League appearances under Sean Dyche the previous season.

However, the Burnley boss has clearly decided that Benson is not in his plans and the Tykes are announcing his arrival on their official website tonight.

Given his undisputed potential combined with his pedigree, which featured in the premier league last season, it can be said that Barnsley fans have been very pleased with the club’s latest deals.

What was the last time Barnsley played in each of those 24 stadiums?

With Alex Mowatt’s departure, hiring a midfielder was sure to be a priority for the Yorkshire team and Benson will hope to be a key figure on the team this season.

Here’s a look at some of the reactions to Twitter’s news …

Great letter of intent from Conway & Co. The 4-year contract shows that it will hopefully be crucial to the further development of the Reds. The squad is developing well! Boy from Toulouse and an LWF, job is a good job.
