BRENTFORD is ready to bid on Liverpool’s forgotten husband Harry Wilson and toss him a lifeline in the Premier League.

The new boys will offer the Welsh midfielder around £ 10m, who will leave Anfield permanently after several loan stints this summer.

Wilson, 24, is back from a year at Cardiff and is wanted by several other championship teams, led by Swansea.

But the chance of top-flight football at the Bees is now on the radar – although it would likely be a struggle for survival.

Wilson could wait to see if foreign interest turns positive. He needs the right stage now.

Liverpool would let him go while they conduct their annual squad review and the appearance of Harvey Elliott has further removed him from the first team.

Brentford was promoted to the Premier League through the play-offs at the end of last season.

In the final, Thomas Frank’s team defeated Swansea City 2-0 at Wembley Stadium and reached the top division.

It is the first time since 1947 that Brentford has played in England’s Premier Division.

The success also brought back memories of 12 months earlier, when the team was beaten in the final by local rivals Fulham.

Along with Liverpool’s Wilson, Brentford has been linked with a move from Nottingham Forests center-back Joe Worrall.

You have to beat Burnley for his signature but are firmly in the running now.

Forest is believed to be making offers of around £ 10 million for Worrall, who has a three-year contract.
