Chelsea target Julian Weigl will be able to leave Benfica at the right price this summer, but the Blues are facing stiff competition for his signature, including from the Premier League.

The Blues are preparing to endorse Boss Thomas Tuchel in the transfer market this summer after hitting the Champions League and a top four in the Premier League.

Tuchel is an admirer of Borussia Dortmund’s former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Weigl, who is on the books at Benfica, and Chelsea have been linked with wanting him.

And in a push for Chelsea, Weigl will be allowed to move on, according to the French outlet Foot Mercato from Benfica, if the price is right; he has a release clause of 100 million in his contract

However, there is competition for Weigl with three unnamed clubs.

A club from the Premier League are big fans of Weigl and could storm for him, and a club from the Bundesliga that has qualified for the Champions League is also interested.

An association from France asked Weigl to test the water.

Weigl played 28 games in the Portuguese premier class for Benfica this season and collected an impressive ten bookings.
