Chelsea plan to bring a world-class striker to Stamford Bridge this summer after finishing fourth in the 2020-21 Premier League season, 19 points behind champions Manchester City.

The Blues scored 58 league goals, 25 fewer than Pep Guardiola’s side and the fewest in the top four. In the upper half of the table, only Arsenal and Everton found the net less often than Chelsea.

Thomas Tuchel knows that he has to change that if he wants to fight for the title next season. The German also wants to strengthen his midfield this summer.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at Chelsea’s top transfer news of June 28, 2021.

Chelsea make the Premier League superstar their main target

Harry Kane

Chelsea made Harry Kane their main target this summer, according to Caught Offside via Goal. The Blues are looking for a world-class striker and are also interested in Erling Haaland.

Tuchel wants to improve his current attack strength, with Jorginho becoming the club’s top scorer in the league last season. And right now there is no one better in the country than Kane.

Lifting the Englishman from Tottenham Hotspur will not be easy, however, especially as the two clubs are bitter rivals. Withheld from Kane for a long time, he went public to express his desire to move away from Spurs.

There is no doubt that Chelsea and the Englishman could be a match made heaven. Kane’s arrival at Stamford Bridge would greatly increase his chances of finally winning a trophy, while the Blues would be instant league favorites with him on the team.

However, Kane may not want to hurt his reputation with Spurs fans, so the Englishman may opt for a different destination.
