Listen to the Prutton’s Predictions Show!

David Prutton joins Sky Sports Simeon Gholam to discuss all of his championship predictions before game week 24. You can listen below as he reveals who he supports on Saturday.

Middlesbrough v Birmingham, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. – Live on Sky Sports Football

Middlesbrough is in decent shape in the championship. This last week’s FA Cup loss in Brentford won’t bother Neil Warnock too much.

Birmingham is on a bad way. Will a return to the riverside inspire Aitor Karanka? I can’t see if i’m honest

Prutton predicts: 2-0 (Sky Bet odds)

Saturday, January 16, 12:00 p.m.

Start at 12:30 p.m.

Cardiff v Norwich, 3pm Saturday

Emi Buendia of Norwich City celebrates his team's first goal

Cardiff’s most recent form was sticky. Neil Harris has things to change soon, but he probably couldn’t have asked for a tougher game.

Norwich what we saw where they are. You were and have done it before. They’re the championship leaders for a reason, it’s a cliché, but I think they’ll prove their qualifications in this one too.

Prutton predicts: 0-2 (Sky Bet odds)

Derby against Rotherham, Saturday, 3pm

A huge game at the end of the table. Both teams start in the relegation zone and urgently need a win.

Chorley’s defeat won’t have much of an impact on Derby for obvious reasons. But the takeover meeting and everything else that goes on behind the scenes can be enough. Rotherham lost at Everton but it was a morally boosting FA Cup performance for them. I will support a tie here.

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (Sky Bet odds)

QPR v Wycombe, Saturday 3pm

What a return and impact for Charlie Austin at QPR. The first game on the side and a big goal in the 2-0 win at Luton on Tuesday night – a huge result for Mark Warburton’s side.

It was a resounding win for Wycombe against Preston in the FA Cup. Gareth Ainsworth would undoubtedly have traded it for three points in the league, but it will give them confidence in these. I think there will be goals, but I can’t separate the two. Result drawing.

Prutton predicts: 2-2 (Sky Bet odds)

Watford v Huddersfield, 3pm Saturday

A win, a loss for Xisco Munoz in the championship at Watford. But he got off to a tough start against Norwich and Swansea in his first two games. Your home record has been good this season and he will want to keep that.

Huddersfield is ticking along under Carlos Corberan. They can give anyone a game, but their inconsistency is why they’re in midfield. I think this should only go the Watford way.

Prutton predicts: 1-0 (Sky Bet odds)

Barnsley vs Swansea, Saturday at 7.45pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

With a few weeks to pause for thought since these two last played in the championship, it’s just worth saying how good they both are and how much they both impressed me. Barnsley under Valerien Ismael was very easy on the eyes and we all know what Steve Cooper did to Swansea.

This has all the requirements for a very good game. Barnsley are not far from the play-offs and Swansea start the weekend in the top two. It’s all to play. I think there will be a couple of goals and I think the swans may just make it.

Prutton predicts: 2-3 (Sky Bet odds)
