TWO trophies were created at the base to facilitate the return of football from Monday.

In step 7, the Dorset Premier League developed a “Supplementary Cup” in which 11 of their 17 teams participate.

There will be two divisions, one made up of six clubs and the other made up of five.

Weymouth-based Balti Sports will play alongside rivals Dorchester Sports and Bridport Reserves in Group B against heavyweights Hamworthy Rec and Westland Sports.

Bridport will host Dorchester Sports in their opening game on Saturday 3rd April.

Echosport expects the Dorset Football League to host a similar competition for teams in the Dorset Senior League and divisions one through five, whose league season has been shortened.

According to a survey, some clubs have expressed their opposition to a tournament, but the majority of the teams have decided to play a mini cup.

Therefore, each of the six leagues is divided into groups A and B with home and away games.

Then the semi-finals and finals are played.
