Union Parish football coach Joe Spatafora explains what went wrong on the offensive against Madison Prep in the Class 3A state championship game.

Louisiana High School’s 2021 football season kicks off with a handful of games on September 2, before kicking off nationwide on September 3.

In northeast Louisiana, Oak Grove vies for the third straight Class 1A championship while Union Parish and Ouachita Christian seek revenge for losses in the Class 3A and Division IV finals. Firmly anchored powerhouses Neville and West Monroe hope to end the championship drought in grades 4A and 5A.

Here is the target order forecast by the news star in all districts that include area teams.

Class 5A

District 2-5A: Ruston, West Monroe, Alexandria, Ouachita, West Ouachita, Pineville

Key game: West Monroe in Ruston, November 5th.

Class 4A

District 1-4A East: Neville, Bastrop, Franklin Parish

Key game: Bastrop in Neville, October 29th.

Class 3A

District 2-3A: Union Parish, Sterlington, Carroll, Richwood, Wossman

Key game: Sterlington in Union Parish, October 8th.

Class 2A

District 1-2A: North Caddo, Jonesboro-Hodge, Lakeside, D’Arbonne Woods

Key game: Jonesboro-Hodge in North Caddo, October 29th.

District 2-2A: Ferriday, Mangham, General Trass, Rayville, Delhi Charter, Vidalia, Madison Parish, Beekman Charter

Key game: Mangham on Ferriday, October 1st.

Class 1A

District 2-1A: Oak Grove, Ouachita Christian, St. Frederick, Cedar Creek, Delhi, Delta Charter, River Oaks, Sicily Island, Tensas Parish

Key game: Ouachita Christian in Oak Grove, September 10th.
