AGENT Jorge Mendes is reportedly trying to lead a move for client Rafael Leao amid interest from Everton and Wolves.

AC Milan striker Leao, 22, played 40 times for the Serie A giant last season, scoring seven goals.

But he’s been linked to a transfer from Italy with some Premier League teams said to be keeping an eye on him.

And Corriere Dello Sport has now reported that Mendes has sparked interest at both Everton and Wolves.

However, AC Milan have advised Mendes that there are “certain conditions” that English teams must meet in order to receive his signature.

This includes a transfer offer of no less than £ 21.4 million.

Mendes is reportedly set to explore the opportunities Leao has this summer, with the player said to be keen to stay in Italy.

Everton has already had an incredibly busy week in the transfer window.

The arrival of coach Rafa Benitez has brought a number of new signings, the most recent being former Leicester and Bayern Leverkusen winger Demari Gray.

He follows goalkeeper Asmir Begovic and fellow striker Andros Townsend through the door ahead of Benitez’s first season.

Commenting on his move, Gray told the Everton website, “I’m excited to be back in the Premier League for such a big club and I’m looking forward to playing with the team and getting to work.

“Talk to the manager [Rafa Benitez] and [director of football] Marcel Brands, I had a very good feeling for the club and I have the feeling that this is a place where I can develop myself further.

“The coach is important with his ambitions and past victories and we will try to push forward and compete with the top clubs. I think a club of this size has the potential to be at the forefront.

“Everton are a very big club and their main goal is to get back up the table and compete.”
