TALLAHASSEE, Florida (WTXL) – Florida state high school football teams can begin fall camp on Monday, with the first games of the season taking place on August 27.

To celebrate, 4Quarters Online, a media group dedicated to high school football in Big Bend, hosted a media day. It was virtual, but while not in person, the hype was still the same.
nearly twenty schools from Gadsden County to Suwannee High attended, and all of them are feeling a little more ready for this fall after a proper spring and summer.

“It’s a hurdle I take in life. It comes with it,” said Ocho Ellis, Taylor County’s offensive coordinator, of last year’s fighting. “You will have things that hit you, that’s how you react. I think the guys reacted very well.”

“There was very little pressure to get the guys to practice,” added Jefferson County boss Ira Reynolds. “This is a key to the team becoming a unit. The fact that we can sit there and do this interview without masks is an improvement.”

The practice Monday is contactless. Contact exercises begin on August 7th.
