The fixtures for the 2021-22 Sky Bet League Two season have been released, and the newly promoted Sutton and Hartlepool learn their fate.

Sutton United’s inaugural Football League season kicks off the weekend of August 7th with last season play-off semi-finalists Forest Green Rovers.

Dramatic National League play-off final winner Hartlepool ends with Crawley Town on opening day.

Last season play-off finalist Newport County begin their new promotion away promotion at Oldham Athletic, while defeated play-off semi-finalist Tranmere begins their season at home against Walsall.

Elsewhere on opening day, Colchester will make the long journey to Carlisle, Bradford to Exeter and Salford City will host the Leyton Orient candidate for promotion.

All dates and kick-off times are subject to change, with the first matches being confirmed live on Sky Sports in due course.

Key dates for the 2021/22 season

The 2021/22 Premier League begins on Saturday, August 14 – 34 days after the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium.

The season ends on May 22, 2022 with all 10 games starting at the same time.

The 2021/22 EFL season starts on Saturday, August 7th.

Next season’s League One campaign ends the weekend of April 30, 2022, with League Two and the championship ending on May 7 and 8, respectively.

The League One play-off final will be played on Saturday, May 21, the League Two play-off final on Saturday, May 28, and the championship play-off final on Sunday, May 29. May.
