Here is the latest transfer news and rumors from Leicester City for the past 24 hours.
Arsenal approaches Maddison alternative
It appears that Arsenal have given up attempts to sign Leicester City midfielder James Maddison this summer.
The Gunners had a strong bond with the 24-year-old over the summer window, with some reports even suggesting a cash plus player bid was made.
However, with City keen to keep their key players this summer, it appears that Arsenal have now moved on to other goals.
According to multiple reports, Arsenal are nearing a permanent move from Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard, who was on loan at Emirates Stadium for the last six months of last season.
Should that deal go through, it means the Gunners will likely lose interest in Maddison this summer.

Newcastle pushes for Choudhury
Newcastle United are pushing to sign City midfielder Hamza Choudhury this summer after a failed move in January.
The Daily Mail claims that Steve Bruce still retains an interest in Choudhury despite signing a permanent deal for Arsenal’s Joe Willock last week.
It is said that any deal between Leicester and Newcastle for Choudhury could end in the last few weeks of the window as the Toons need to streamline their squad first.

Philippe Coutinho currently
Reports linking City to former Liverpool resident Philippe Coutinho simply won’t go away as the club reportedly saw the midfielders on loan this summer.
Barcelona are looking to cut costs this summer amid financial troubles that resulted in Lionel Messi joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer earlier this month.
Coutinho is one of the players looking to leave the club this summer.
Recent reports suggest that the Spanish club midfielder could be used on an exchange deal with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has since dismissed that, so a move to the King Power Stadium could be possible this summer.
