Leicester City are “interested” in former Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto.
The 28-year-old has played over 180 games for Lazio since joining Serie A in 2016.
He has been praised by Italian fans and experts for a number of years and could return to the Premier League, according to Fichajes.
It’s likely that Lazio would be reluctant to sell one of their best players while they are likely to have a number of applicants next summer or even the January transfer window.
If he were to join Leicester, he would likely come to replace James Maddison or Youri Tielemans – if either player left the club.
Both were linked with away moves last summer, but both players were stuck.
Tielemans are in talks about a new contract with City while Maddison has yet to score or assist the club this season.
Fichajes said of Alberto: “It would be a good opportunity to return the favor to the Premier (Liga) for the midfielder.
“His talent exists and he showed it in Italy. With time to adapt, he could be indispensable at Leicester.”
