Liverpool are keen to compete with Everton for signing Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin next summer.
This comes from a report by Calciomercato, which claims that Saint-Maximin will be very interested in his signature next year.
Chelsea are said to be interested, while Everton and Liverpool are both keen to lure Saint-Maximin to Merseyside.
Paul Merson called Saint-Maximin “unplayable” a few days ago and few could blame him for considering a move.

Newcastle are not going to challenge European places anytime soon and if Liverpool want Saint-Maximin they would certainly be tempted.
Would Saint-Maximin make sense after Liverpool?
The first thing to say is that Calciomercato isn’t exactly a top resource when it comes to transfers that don’t involve any Serie A clubs.
They may have information about Saint-Maximin and a possible transfer, but it’s not strong enough to feel safe at the moment.
