Liverpool are getting closer and closer to the start of the 2021/22 season and pre-season preparations will not begin for the next few weeks.
The Reds begin their Premier League campaign on Aug. 14 in newly promoted Norwich City to kick off a strong title win.
Jürgen Klopp has already added a new face to his squad in Ibrahima Konate, who came from RB Leipzig at the beginning of the summer.
He joins a number of returning players from temporary employment who will try to impress the manager ahead of the new season.
Liverpool are currently in a training camp in Austria to build their fitness ahead of the new term.
While Klopp will want to work with his players on the training pitch, he’ll also need to watch them in action to make sure they have precious minutes under their belt.
Several preseason games have already been confirmed for this summer.
Liverpool will play two “thirty-minute mini-games” behind closed doors, while Austria will host two more regular 90-minute games in front of spectators.
Liverpool’s preseason games:
July 20 – FC Wacker Innsbruck (30-minute mini game)
July 20 – Stuttgart (30-minute mini-game)
July 23 – Mainz 05 @ Greisbergers Betten-Arena
July 29th – Hertha Berlin @ Tivoli Stadion
