WORCESTER City’s 2021/22 season in the Midland Football League Premier Division kicks off on Saturday 14 August with a home game against AFC Wulfrians.

The schedule for the new season was released today and City has three of the first four games at home.

After the kick-off, they host Highgate United the following weekend before heading to the newcomers Wolverhampton Casuals.

August ends on the 30th with another tie against Lye Town on Claines Lane.

Worcester will play five games in September, including a Worcestershire derby against the Stourport Swifts at home on Wednesday September 15th.

City hosts another new league team, Stone Old Alleynians, which will begin in October before successive away trips to Boldmere St Michaels and Romulus.

Three of the four games in November will also be played on Claines Lane, including the visit to Shifnal Town, which rose after the league was restructured.

There will be more home games over the Christmas period, but there will be a break after the game on the 18th (against Lichfield City) before they play against Walsall Wood on January 3rd.

The away games get into the new year thick and fast with just four games in January and February before a string of three away games ends in March and starts in April – Lye Town, Bewdley Town and Hanley Town.

In the last month of the campaign, Worcester will receive Uttoxeter Town before the final day of the season’s home derby against Stourport.
