Norwich City and Watford are among a host of clubs that Espanyol’s Adrián Embarba keep an eye on.

The versatile attacker who can play the flanks or central has had a great season for the La Liga 2 team. He scored nine goals and registered 14 assists as the team secured an automatic return to the top division.

Such a shape caught the eye, and the Spanish Outlet AS has shown that the newly promoted duo will join Wolves, West Ham, Betis and Levante for the 29-year-old.

It is unclear what fee Espanyol would charge the player despite paying Rayo Vallecano around € 10m when they brought in Embarba during the January 2020 transfer window.

Interestingly, however, the report claims that the player wants to stay with Espanyol after his promotion, despite the update saying that he wants a new deal that reflects his role in the squad, with clubs interested in offering him a big boost if he does does leave.

Both the Hornets and Canaries are sure to have priorities as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

What club do these 21 former Norwich City players currently practice?

The judgment

Embarba has been outstanding for Espanyol this season so it is no surprise that he is attracting attention despite his second division form.

The attacker is technically gifted and the fact that he can play in different attacking positions will obviously appeal to a coach.

If you look at the clubs interested, you have to say that winning the race for Embarba’s signature would be a coup for Norwich or Watford. So it will be interesting to see how this plays out over the summer.
