Between Friday, March 19 and Sunday, March 22, a total of 1,196 players and club employees were tested for Covid-19, of which there was another positive test.

In consultation with its clubs, the Premier League has improved its Covid-19 protocols and re-implemented a twice-weekly test program.

The protocols, which strengthen the key elements of the current guidelines, entered into force on January 7th.

Testing is only part of the protection in place.

The Premier League says strict adherence to the protocols by all players and staff is key to keeping numbers down and managing outbreaks.
