Members of a Sheffield football team that puts mental health at the heart of their ethos have explained how the pandemic has affected them.

Anyone who suffers or has had mental health problems is invited to join Brunsmeer Awareness FC.

For many gamers, some of whom live in inpatient psychiatric wards, the weekly games are a crucial form of exercise and connection.

However, with the suspension suspended until at least March 29, the club’s players had to deal with the loss of physical activity and social inclusion offered by the club.
