PR is on the up under Mark Warburton as they look to the new championship season that will kick off with the London Derby against Millwall.

In the previous campaign, the R recorded their best league result since returning to the English football season after relegating to the Premier League in 2015.

Relegated Fulham will host Warburton’s side on October 16 for a West London derby at Craven Cottage, with the second leg taking place on April 2.

On Boxing Day, Bournemouth visits West London, while the season ends with a trip to Swansea City.

The club will try to get up quickly in the new season compared to the last one, with a win on the first day followed by a winless seven-game run where they flirted with relegation until the turn of the year.

In nine wins from the last 14 games of the season, QPR finished ninth, partly thanks to goals from returning loanee Charlie Austin, who has since signed a permanent contract.

Warburton has planned to test preparation for the new campaign by pitching Premier League opponents in the preseason, with both Manchester United and Leicester City arriving in late July.
