Paris Saint-Germain confirmed this morning that newly arrived defender Sergio Ramos is out with a calf injury sustained in training last week.
The Spaniard, who signed after leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season, will be out tonight for the friendly against his ex-club Sevilla and will likely also be in the Trophée des Champions duel against Lille, the championship winner on Sunday last season.
PSG medical staff aim to have the center-back in training by next week, with the season opener against Troyes on August 7th.
Brazilian midfielder Rafinha is also out with a knee sprain, full-back Colin Dagba is recovering from an ankle sprain and Ramos’ compatriot Juan Bernat is gradually returning to the joint training sessions.
PSG meet Sevilla tonight in Faro, Portugal with a rejuvenated squad – in particular the club’s internationals in Kylian Mbappé, Presnel Kimpembe, Georginio Wijnaldum and Danilo Pereira have just returned from vacation.
