MILAN: Inter Milan topped Serie A by seven points on Sunday (February 28) when Romelu Lukaku scored a goal after 32 seconds and assisted in a 3-0 win over Genoa in midfield.

The Belgian striker drove through the heart of visiting defenses, scoring his 18th goal of the season to mark his club’s second-fastest goal in Serie A since Opta in 2004.

Lukaku signed Matteo Darmian for Inter for the second time on 69 minutes and was back for the third time when his shot was saved but substitute Alexis Sanchez led the rebound.

The result leaves leaders Inter seven points ahead of second-placed AC Milan, who will play against AS Roma later on Sunday, and ten points ahead of Juventus in third place.

Genoa, whose seven games unbeaten league run came to an end, are in 13th place with 26 points.
