Milans Gaskell turns the big night into honoring the football player of the week

William Gaskell made his presence on the Milan football team known in more than one way over the past week.

The runner-up rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown and made an impression on defense with a 51-yard interception return to help the Big Reds beat New Boston Huron 27-19 last Friday.

Thanks to his breakout performance, Gaskell was named Ann Arbor Area High School Football Player of the Week for Week 2.

Gaskell received 40% of the total of 19,176 votes, while teammate Cole McElvany took second place with 3,488 votes.
