The West Berkshire restaurant franchisee continues to support him

A THATCHAM football club loves the continued support of local McDonald’s restaurants.

The Cougars Youth Football Club was sponsored by West Berkshire McDonald’s franchisee Richard Forte.

The support has helped fund new kits and exercise equipment for children under seven and under 13.

In 2021, Mr Forte and his team will also support the under 11s and their coaches and invest in their FA coaching qualifications.

Graham Loader, Chairman of Cougars said, “Cougars FC is very grateful to McDonald’s for sponsoring and supplying match and training equipment for our under 13s and for our new youngest age group, the under seven.

“McDonald’s support will allow us to keep our membership fees low and provide access to football regardless of background or ability.

“We look forward to working with McDonald’s to offer FA qualifications to our volunteers so that children can continue to provide a safe and fun environment to play football. ”

Mr Forte and his seven restaurants support grassroots football as part of Mcdonald’s partnership with the FA. Through its sponsorship, Cougars will receive gear and training equipment for 34 players valued at over £ 1,000.

Mr. Forte said, “My restaurant team and I look forward to continuing to support grassroots football in the region, especially at a time when support is needed more than ever.

“I’m looking forward to building a long-term relationship with the club and really improving the quality of the support available. It’s a privilege to support a local club that plays on the fields I played as a teenager. “
