3. Michael Keane – Everton

At the beginning of this list is an admittedly uninspiring signature. Michael Keane seems to have been around forever but is somehow still only 28. He has played in England’s top division 182 times and would be an experienced option in the backcourt.

However, Keane is not a player who delights fans like a Jules Kounde or let’s say a William Saliba.

However, its role would be well defined. He would offer an alternative to Rob Holding, he would add depth and expertise and even help Saliba acclimatise to the Premier League in case we see the French next season and no loan comes off.

Additionally, Keane Mikel Arteta’s side would provide a local option and add to his utility to the squad. Will Keane improve and raise Arsenal to the level it takes to challenge for the top four? Certainly not.

While his quality is fairly limited, he would provide much-needed leadership to a fairly young Arsenal defense. It would be a commitment that would help Saliba, not replace him.
