Manchester City have agreed to sell center-back Eric Garcia to Barcelona for € 10m this month, according to a report.
The Catalan giants made no secret of their desire to re-sign the Spanish international, who spent some time in his La Masia setup before joining City in 2017.
Garcia is out of contract at the end of the season and turned down the offer of a new contract, which means he was free to speak to foreign clubs from January 1st.
Mundo Deportivo claim City have now reluctantly agreed to sell the 20-year-old to Barca instead of losing him for free in six months.
Citizens were reportedly looking for £ 17.8million for the youth, although it soon emerged that financially troubled Barcelona were unable to match that figure.
Garcia has played for Pep Guardiola’s side seven times this season.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City defender Angelino.
The Catalan team are desperate to sign up for current first choice left-back Jordi Alba, with Junior Firpo’s future at Camp Nou far from certain.
According to Sport, Barca have identified Angelino as an option, although Ronald Koeman’s side are aware that City are under no pressure to sell the former Spain U21 international.
Angelino has a contract at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2023, but has been on loan at RB Leipzig since January 20 and has played 40 games for the Bundesliga in all competitions.
The defender has contributed nine goals and 13 assists during a successful period at the Red Bull Arena, including eight goals and eight assists in 22 games in all competitions this season.
Barca reportedly have already signed a deal to sign City center-back Eric Garcia.
