What did Romano say in his update about Traore potentially joining Spurs?
In an interview with The Here We Go Podcast, Romano stated that Traore is currently one of Tottenham’s top transfer targets in the last few days of the window.
When asked about Spurs’ current efforts to sign the 5-foot-10 international, Romano said, “Yes, working for Adama Traore, yes. He is the main target when it comes to top players. They are working on it, nothing yet agreed with Wolves on the player’s fee, but they are working on it. He’s now a priority for Tottenham. The player will be ready to join Tottenham so it’s open.
“And Tottenham is really pushing for it. They push and push because they want Adama, of course Nuno wants to work with Adama again, so Fabio Paratici is there. We’ll see in the next few hours. “
How do the wolves react to Tottenham’s interest?
It has been alleged that wolves are ready to sell traore if they get a suitable offer for his services.
When asked on Tuesday evening after Wolves’ 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest whether he expected Traore to be at the club at the end of August, coach Bruno Lage replied: “Yes, I think so.”
Did Tottenham Hotspur sign Moussa Sissoko on the day of the 2016 transfer deadline?
Would Tottenham have a top three to keep up with the top clubs in the Premier League if they sign Traore?
If they can keep Harry Kane, they could. Granted, that’s a big if, as Kane continues to be associated with a move to Manchester City.
There are some extraordinary top three-pointers in England’s top division: Chelsea have Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and Romelu Lukaku, Liverpool have Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota, while City has Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez.
A front three of Kane, Traore and Son Heung-min would also be an impressive trio. With Traore’s pace and dribbles complementing Kane and Son’s goals and assists, Tottenham would have covered all bases from an attacking standpoint, suggesting they could play on par with some of the best clubs in the country.
